Beer Durham

Beer Durham, a bottle shop/growler store, opened in the newish building by the farmer’s market parking lot this past summer.

In addition to shelves of beer, Beer Durham has few inside tables, two outside tables, 20 taps, and a few wines by the glass. You can enjoy your pint in the store or take it home in a re-fillable growler.

We’ve stopped in after the farmer’s market to grab a sixer, popped in to have a quick dinner at a food truck and enjoy a flight, and gone to a few tastings at Beer Durham. Beer Durham is never going to replace Sam’s in our hearts. Their bottle selection in no way compares, but what Beer Durham lacks in bottle selection they make up for in their 20 taps and seating.

Beer Durham has a handful of tables, a friendly staff and a regularly rotating selection of tap beers. Think of Beer Durham as an ideal, low-key happy hour bar without the crowds that invade Rigsbee and Geer St. Tastings are on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays, follow them on social to keep up.

That is one beautiful drink and I’ve been humbled more times than I can responsibly count! I’d take the 3 drink Corporate Gifts max as a dare…oops, I love the idea of the wine in this drink so yea more booze but the color is so striking too!
