Milk & Honey

Quick look at the newish mobile bakery in town, Milk & Honey. Specializing in mini cheesecakes, Milk & Honey sets up regularly in Fullsteam and the Durham Art Market. Milk & Honey eats are also available at Cocoa Cinnamon, which is where we finally broke down and gave two of her petite treats a try.

Perfectly portioned, the cheesecakes are that great combo of light and fluffy, indulgent without being overly rich. We tried Chocolate Lavendar and Lemon Blueberry. Both had a thick, crisp graham crust. In the Chocolate Lavender the cocoa balanced nicely with the hint of fragrant lavender. In the Lemon Blueberry, the lemon had a nice, subtle flavor with no pucker. Both made an excellent pairing with a cup of Cocoa Cinnamon coffee.

In addition to their mobile treats, Milk & Honey also offers catering. Like most of Durham’s food start-ups, Milk & Honey works out of The Cookery.

Where to find them:
Milk & Honey
Wednesday nights at Fullsteam – 6:30-10:00 pm
Saturday mornings on at the Durham Art and Food Truck Market 10:00-12:00 pm

Milk and Honey’s mini cheese cakes are wonderful; I think I’ve tried them all by now and not once have I been disappointed- most recently I branched out into their cookies and once again, I’ve fallen in love.
