Valentine’s Day in Durham

Looking for a special dinner for Valentine’s Day? The (sometimes-dreaded) day of all things love is quickly approaching and now is the time to secure a reservation. We thought it might be helpful to make a list of Durham restaurants’ offerings for Monday February 14. (This list is in no way complete and we will continue to add to it as we hear back from restaurants.)

Added this one Raleigh restaurant because they’re donating all of the proceeds from 2/14 to children’s cancer research. Support.

$50 4-course tasting menu.
Some items include NC pamlico sound oysters Rockefeller with creamy collards, house bacon, and herbed crumbs, blood orange salad with house bacon and toasted pecans, and Border Spring lamb breast with Anson Mills hominy and many more. Desserts include a passionfruit mousse, individual red velvet cakes, and a chocolate assortment. Please call the restaurant directly (416-5040) for more details and to make reservations.

These evenings will be hosted by John Benedetto, a talented and experienced storyteller, mime, and workshop leader.

    Capriccio Ristorante Italiano is also offering a Valentine’s Day dinner package. The restaurant closes on Mondays but will open on Valentine’s Day offer a special love influenced course menu.

    Make a whole night of it. Black Belt World of Durham is hosting a Sleepover/parent’s night out on Saturday the 12th from 7 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m. Master Choi’s Korean BBQ and noodles for dinner, followed by games, dancing, pillow fight, movies, video game competition and more. In other words, lots of kid-friendly fun. Relax with your love on an evening out knowing your children are safe and happy. Only $30/child — $25 for siblings and friends.

    Also, Beyu is supposed to have an awesome menu planned for V-day, including vegan options! You have to make reservations for the vegan options, but meat eaters can just show up or make reservations.
