We’re still hiring! (And other news.)

Posted by RPP 29 Oct 2009 16 Comments

And by “hiring” I mean we are still actively seeking volunteers to spend their valuable time contributing to Carpe Durham and help keep this community alive.  We are grateful to our existing community contributors, but would like to add several more to increase the posting volume.  In particular, we hope people that are interested in exploring the cheaper dining options will get involved.  Please contact us if you are interested.  There is no time commitment or high level of expertise needed (really, if we could do it, anyone can!).

In other news, the Restaurant Openings Report will return soon! New and improved.

In other other news, if you happen to find yourself in Mississippi, check out YAR’s new weight-gain project: Carpe Jackson (http://carpejackson.com).

I’d like to throw my hat into the ring. I don’t have a public blog to show you for my “resume” or to establish “street cred” but I’ve had a blog since 2000. I love Durham and trying new restaurants. Also, my husband used to cook for La Rez so I can even get all technical fancy pants if I need to.

Good luck in Jackson. I went to Ole Miss and I can tell you that any sort of Mississippi food blog means that you need to start taking aspirin every day. If you need help on the Jackson blog I have a friend to recommend.

Hey! Just came across your site. Not sure how I’ve been missing it all these months as I peruse the Interwebs religiously for all things local.

I am a local writer looking to break into food writing. I have worked in the restaurant industry for years and I love to eat! I’m definitely interested.

I think prospective CD writers should have to submit a review of George’s Diner as part of the application process.

I miss the drama too, now we are back to regular reviews. Isn’t there a Carpe Raleigh website? I follow this one and would like to see something like this for Raleigh.

To set the record straight George’s Garage is closed and not George’s Diner though.

We have been Durham residents for almost five years and my husband and I run trianglevino.com, a website dedicated to wine tastings and events in the Triangle area. We also occasionally post restaurant reviews on our personal website: http://www.ericandleandra.com. Please let me know if we can help contribute here.
